What is keratin straightening?
Your hair is made of keratin, so a keratin treatment pretty much consists of marinating yourself in even more of the stuff until it sticks (heat helps this process). It smooths out the surface of follicles and, depending on how much you use, releases curls, takes out waves, and similar. It makes hair shinier and helps prevent breakage as well.

*Pure New Zealand wool is a 100% natural material. Farmed throughout the pristine countryside of New Zealand, the sheep grow a thick fleece of wool to protect themselves from New Zealand’s harsh winter. This wool is harvested during spring so that the sheep does not have a full fleece during the long, hot summer. During autumn/fall the fleece grows back in readiness for the coming winter. The wool is harvested by shearing, using electronic clippers in much the same way as getting a haircut. Following shearing, the sheep return to the fields to continue grazing and raise their young. No animals are harmed at any stage of the wool harvesting process.

Bhave smoothe keratin therapy makes hair easy to manage, so anyone who struggles with frizz or has curly and difficult to manage hair is a good candidate.
What makes Bhave different to other products on the market?
Bhave is a true keratin taming system that does NOT break down, change or build internal bonds in the hair. It cannot be washed out immediately as the keratin requires time to set into the hair.

What kind of results will I get from the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy?
A reduction in frizz, hair will be more manageable and easy to style. You will still be able to wear your hair curly or wavy (depending on your hair type) and enjoy the freedom to blow-dry your hair into any style you want in a fraction of the time.
Can I still receive the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy if I have highlights and/or colour?
Yes you can. However, we do advise for best results to have your hair coloured after 2 normal washes. If you do colour your hair before the treatment, the colour may lift to varying degrees, requiring colour to be re-applied.
Does the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy work on virgin hair?
Yes. On virgin hair, reults will improve with each application. You may have to repeat the treatment after 4 weeks, but each application will last longer.
Is the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy going to make my hair straight?
All hair types differ. The treatment is designed to make the hair easier and quicker to manage. Some people may be able to ‘wash & go’ whereas others will have to add some heat to their hair in order to get a straighter result.
How long does the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy last?
The bhave smoothe keratin therapy lasts up to 5 months depending on the hair type and maintenance. As mentioned, some virgin hair may require an application after 4 weeks.
Is the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy permanent?
No, the hair will revert back to its natural state after 2-5 months.
Can I apply the Bhave smoothe keratin therapy directly on top of other relaxers?
Yes you can. We recommend that you wait a month after relaxing your hair before having the bhave smoothe keratin therapy.
Can I cut my hair before or after the treatment?
We recommend that you cut your hair after the bhave therapy as it will fall differently and appear longer.
Can I use styling products?
Yes, you can use styling products after the first shampoo/wash.
Maintenance Is The Key To Keratin Success
If you want your new shininess to last, we recommend the Bhave Haircare range. You can shampoo three times a week max, . If your shampoo has a detergent ingredient like Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS), which is literally found in laundry soap, it’ll just strip your hair. (Good sulfate-free lines: Pureology Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner.) Also no good? Salt water and chlorine. So surf spray’s not an option, and make sure to coat your hair with a protective cream or oil before you make any literal waves.
